The Urban League of Hampton Roads is seeking nominations for the following awards:
The Whitney M. Young Jr. Award is presented to an international/national company that has made significant progress towards diversifying its workforce at the management and non- management levels.
The A. Phillip Randolph Award is identical in scope to the Whitney M. Young Jr. Award, but will be awarded to a Local /Regional Company.
The Vivian C. Mason Award recognizes an outstanding individual (or group) who has made significant contribution through long–term service to the Hampton Roads community by demonstrating the highest value of citizenship in promoting inter-racial understanding and cooperation.
The Marian Palmer Capps Award recognizes an individual (or group) who has made significant contribution to the Hampton Roads community through the promotion of educational initiatives which support inter-racial understanding and cooperation.
The Jocelyn P. Goss Award is presented to a high school or college student who has demonstrated exceptional leadership through community service, academic achievement and /or excellence in the performing or creative arts.
