This auxiliary organization of the Urban League of Hampton Roads, Inc. has individuals between ages 21 and 40 who live, work and serve in the Hampton Roads area.
The chapter is one of the 36 chapters of the National Urban League Young Professionals, which serves as the umbrella organization under the National Urban League to support the League's 5-point empowerment agenda:

- Economic Empowerment
- Health and Quality of Life Empowerment
- Civic Empowerment
- Civil Rights and Racial Justice Empowerment
Since 1910, the Urban League, by its very design, has focused on answering that one question: "How do we address the needs of the people?" The response to this question is what the Urban League "MOVEMENT" is all about? As Young Professionals, it is our RESPONSIBILITY to answer this same question as it relates to current and future young professionals in Hampton Roads. In doing so, we must remain committed to building and refining young professionals.
