ULHR Joins Career ConnectFest to Support Workforce Readiness in Portsmouth
On March 24 and March 26, 2025, the Urban League of Hampton Roads hosted Homeownership Workshops at Norfolk State University, bringing essential housing knowledge to a group of eight engaged participants. Among them were five NSU students exploring the pathway to first-time homeownership.
The workshop offered a practical introduction to the homebuying process and inspired continued learning. Three attendees took the next step by registering for ULHR’s First-Time Homebuyer Class held on March 29. Two successfully completed the class and received their First-Time Homebuyer Certificate, while the third participant is now enrolled for the June 7 session at Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Workshops like this reflect the ongoing commitment of the Urban League of Hampton Roads to housing education and generational wealth-building, particularly for young adults preparing to make informed financial decisions for the future.
