Job Title: Case Manager/Coach – WISE Initiative
Reports To: Director of WISE Initiative (Workforce Development, Integration & Stability, Economic Empowerment)
Job Summary: The Urban League of Hampton Roads is seeking an empathetic, high-energy, and results-oriented Case Manager/Coach to join our WISE (Workforce Development, Integration & Stability, Economic Empowerment) Initiative team.
This frontline role acts as the essential engine for our program, working hand-in-hand with participants to design pathways out of economic friction and into long-term career stability. You will collaborate closely with our network of WISE Coalition partner agencies to orchestrate vital wraparound services. Using Individual Service Plans (ISPs) as your primary guiding tool, you will track participant milestones, provide consistent follow-up coaching, and measure short- and long-term outcomes against clear programmatic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Schedule: Full-Time; Monday – Friday, 8:30AM – 5:00PM.
Salary: $38,000 – $46,000 commensurate with experience
Location: Split between Virginia Beach and Hampton, Virginia. Requires flexibility between physical locations.
What You’ll Do
• Holistic Coaching & ISP Management: Conduct initial intakes and co-create tailored Individual Service Plans (ISPs) to serve as actionable roadmaps for short- and long-term stability and employment goals.
• Partner Coalition Collaboration: Maintain active, communicative relationships with WISE Coalition partner agencies and vendors to coordinate wraparound support (housing, child care, mental health resources, and transportation).
• KPI & Metric Tracking: Meticulously log participant engagement, milestone completions, and resource referrals in our secure data networks, ensuring 100% data entry compliance and measurable impact tracking.
• Dual-Hub Case Coverage: Maintain an active, visible presence and manage your caseload fluidly across both our Virginia Beach and Hampton office locations.
What We Are Looking For
• Experience: 2–4 years of progressive case management, social work, human services, or life coaching experience (experience within community coalitions or non-profit frameworks is highly valued).
• Instrument Mastery: Strong foundational knowledge of designing, auditing, and executing structured Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
• Data-Driven Mindset: Exceptional comfort with database entries and a performance-driven mindset aligned with achieving clear programmatic KPIs.
• Communication: Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate participants and collaborate diplomatically across multi-agency lines.
• Flexibility: Eagerness and ability to shift physical working locations between Virginia Beach and Hampton as operational and participant needs dictate.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
